In the best way possible this story was like a warm hug.
Meet Dr. Alexis Montgomery, perfect polished and at the top of her game as an emergency room physician. Part of a 125 year long dynasty of Montgomery MDs working at the famed Royaume Northwestern hospital in Minneapolis founded in 1897.
Meet Daniel Grant, a small town boy with a family legacy tethering him to Grant House (c. 1897) in the village of Wakan where he is the defacto mayor, carpenter, and all around good guy.
This story is part meet cute, part Hallmark movie but all around an enjoyable read. The odds are stacked against them, but will love transcend the different worlds they are orbiting?
This book genuinely made me laugh out loud multiple times, can’t recommend it enough. My first book of the year, and a solid 5 ⭐️ for me.
