Read this because my fault: London was really good. This was at best really mediocre. The first 350 pages were essentially the same interaction between the two MCs copy pasted over and over. The only part with any plot substance at the end was rushed and absolutely botched. Despite their relationship being talked about like it was love, it was almost purely a sexual relationship built on lust. Also, she was 17 and he was 22, which is just gross. However, I have to credit the author in how well she portrayed flashbacks and how domestic violence and trauma affects people and their relationships. It’s very clear that this book originated on wattpad, given the overused tropes and the fact that the fmc was always described as “not like the other girls” while the mmc was this big strong womanizer who always swooped in to save her. Overall, this was just disappointing.
