You know a book was good when you reach the end and begin to mourn the characters and story. I’m now feeling that effect and missing Legend’s magic and charm.
This was by far my favorite of the three Caraval books. For once I actually loved every couple and absolutely fell in love with Legend as a character. And while I enjoyed Scarlett as the original FMC, Tella quickly stole my heart as my favorite FMC of the series. I loved her capacity for love and her tenacity to save her loved ones through and through.
Stephanie knows how to woo her audience with her descriptions of splendor and magic and I can tell I won’t be forgetting this one. Of all three books, this is the one that wholly captured me and ensnared me into its world of magic and romance. 4.75/5
