What a charming story!

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this short story and it's sparked my interest in historical fiction again.

Lily and Matt are instantly loveable and I was invested in the story straight away. Who doesn't love badass women from the War rescusing the modern world?

Despite being less than 60 pages long, I felt so connected to the characters and the plot and I was wishing for a way for the pair to meet and willing it to become a love story - altho, I'd still argue it had the qualities if one.

Matts humour and quoting of old shows and Lily's slight rule breaking added texture to the times they were living in - of course Lily wouldn't understand a joke from the 21st Century and of course why wouldn't Matt have Googled her!

The technology of the times and the similarities and differences between their roles drew them together and ultimately created the power duo that saved 2023!

Basically, I really loved this story and I want more!
