The Taking of Jake Livingston by Ryan Douglass

5.0

So technically I’m giving this a 4.5. This was a great YA thriller with queer rep, because the main character is gay. I loved the storyline and I love how ancestors played a very big part in his journey. It was a quick read and I’m definitely wanting to read more thrillers from this author. It might not be for everyone because it wasn’t as thrilling in supernatural as say paranormal activity, but it was very creepy for younger audiences.
