Okay, so because I wanted this spoiler when I was looking through reviews halfway through the book, and couldn’t find one, I’m adding it here. Before I get to that, this book was quite good. Definitely way longer than it needed to be, but every book in the series felt that way, and definitely predictable in terms of the key points. Still, I was fully engaged in the series and enjoyed my read. Spoiler ahead…okay, if you’re looking through spoiler comments trying to figure out if your internal red flags are right by telling you not to trust a certain individual who shares his name with a type of bird (minus the e) then you would be right. He isn’t to be trusted. I saw it from a mile away, and kept getting annoyed that they didn’t question his motives. And then, boom! I knew it!
