I really enjoyed the first three books in this series, but I kind of feel like Maas lost the plot with this one. It was clear that this book was not planned as part  of the original series and it seemed much more like a forced addition at the request of a book publisher. The switch to third person narration and the lack of major conflict made it seem like I was reading a fanfic at times. That being said, I still think the book is worth the read for fans of the series. I enjoyed Nesta’s character and I think that her arc and emotional journey were really well done.
