Golden Darkness. Stadt aus Licht & Schatten
by Sarah Rees Brennan
3.5 stars, maybe.
An interesting premise and potential for the characters, but a failure to deliver. The info-dump at the beginning kind of threw me off. Some slow pacing, lots of unkempt able characters, and even the main ones (namely Ethan and Lucie) weren't particularly likeable. Carwyn was undoubtedly a highlight of the story, if his motives a bit ambiguous. The plot is a haphazard, but ultimately the book ends with a resounding (but maybe not quite satisfactory) note. Overall, interesting story, just wish there was a bit more to its execution.
