This was a good palate cleanser. I was having a little bit of a book hangover from Shield of Sparrows, which was so good, so I switched to Perry's contemporary to get another little taste of her writing style. Im still in a fantasy mood so im going to pause on this series but I will come back because its very peaceful and intriguing. Devney writes good mysteries and plot twists into her romantic novels. Definitely kept me engaged. The end felt a little bit rushed, but overall I enjoyed the book!
