 I'm re-reading the series for the 3rd or 4th time - the audiobooks are the perfect level of light but engaging for when I am multitasking. The series (and Fforde's writing in general) is a love it or hate it situation, I think. I find them charming and quirky and funny. A quick browse of reviews shows a lot of people who found it childish and shallow. It is absurd but I enjoy being along for the ride.
