the mermaid's voice returns in this one by Amanda Lovelace

dark emotional hopeful tense

I am not sure how I feel about this collection. Very early in my reading, I realised I remembered more of the 2 previous books in the series than I expected. I also realised I was a bit tired of the imagery Amanda Lovelave uses.
Some poems were very moving, but a lot felt repetitive, at least to me. I have not experienced what the book is about ( check the trigger warnings by the way) so maybe this is why I was not as impacted by the whole collection as many of the readers. All in all, it was an interesting read, and if only for the handful of poems that moved me, I would recommend it.
