This is my first foray into the world(s) of Brandon Sanderson and I am so impressed! The world-building was magnificent, the characters were beloved, well-developed, and formidable. The plot was so detailed and revealed itself in phases throughout the book. In less than 400 pages, Sanderson created the most magical and fantastical world imaginable. The writing style is full of whimsy and nonsense, reminiscent of Lewis Carroll (but less boring) or Roald Dahl (minus the racism). An additional bonus? The hardcover has beautiful end pages and book art. Definitely won’t forget this one anytime soon!
