The Surrogate Mother by Freida McFadden

2.5

I was really meh about this book. It was ok. The "plot twist" was definitely predictable and just seemed a bit boring to me. All of the women she writes about seem "dumb" and "desperate" which makes my eyes roll. Also when there is conflict the female characters seem to always have their mind somewhere totally not where it should be which throws the whole scene off. Since I have read the Housemaid series, Never Lie and The Perfect Son all of the others have just been blah to me. After I give The Housemaid's Watching a chance next month.. it may be my last McFadden book I prioritize to read. Gave this book a 3 but really if I could give it a 2.5 I would.
