The Lost Symbol
by Dan Brown
Best one out of the Robert Langdon series so far. At first I thought this book was going to follow the same formula as the first two. Where the good guys turn out to be the bad guys, the misled law enforcement agent gets in the way of things and Langdon ends up in bed with an intelligent younger woman. All of the factors that made the previous two books a bit cringey.
But no, this time Brown takes a slightly different route of storytelling and sheds a light on some interesting topics.
The ending is a bit strange though. A little too anticlimactic after all the buildup. It seems as if the symbology and the puzzle is more important to all the lead characters than the actual events of the day? I find that very hard to believe. Perhaps there is more to this story...
