It’s an amazing thing that the fourth volume of maybe the greatest American nonfiction in the last 100 years has several imperfections. Redundancies and obvious tweaks to descriptions of people and events in order to make points present themselves often. Yet it’s those imperfections that make you realize the sheer brilliance and accomplishment of one man (and his excellent support system) to capture so much with humanity and truth. Incredible.
