She Rides Shotgun by Jordan Harper

5.0

Someone pick my jaw up off the floor! Gritty, raw, page turner. Completely new territory for me - an ex-con 'kidnaps' his daughter to save her from a hit that has been put out on him and his family for dealings that occurred while on the inside. There's language and violence and it is in your face. But this is not a gratuitously violent book, the violence makes sense. The relationships and character developments in the story are genuine, but surprising at the same time and you will not expect the ending. All told, a great way to spend 257 pages.
