Half a Life by Darin Strauss

4.0

"Half my life ago, I killed a girl," is how Darin Strauss opens this memoir. When he was just weeks away from graduating from high school, Strauss hits a classmate on a bicycle with his car and that single event understandably changes his life forever. It's natural to think of the families of those unfortunate victims in accidents like this, but for every person who dies in a traffic accident, there's the person who lives--and will never forget that he lives when another has died. Strauss is a great writer.
