I know this is part of a series that's interconnected standalones, but Brooks and Siena have my whole heart. I enjoyed book one, but I LOVED this one. It was emotional, heartfelt, steamy, and so much fun. I love the fake dating trope as well, and I thought Wilde did a great job of it with this story. I liked watching their chemistry and the development of their relationship. Both characters had dealt with trauma in the past, but were able to communicate and express themselves clearly with one another. I also loved Siena's relationship with her mom and got emotional during some of those moments. I'm loving this series so far, and I can only imagine book three is going to bring the heat.
