I enjoyed this one a lot, and I think choosing audiobook helped me feel extra connected (after skimming some other reviews' I wonder if switching to audio versus written could help some of them).
I was invested from the beginning, and I like that its a twist on the fae stories that are so popular (perhaps too much?) nowadays. I appreciated it for all its differences! It made me want to keep reading, even though I'm a little burned out on m/f fae romances.
I want to see more from the world now...
I will say, some of the family dynamics annoyed me with how repetitive they were on the FMC. I wanted better for her, but it really did take several slaps upside the head to make her realize and understand her worth and importance, and to fight for herself.
