"She’s like a drug to me. I know I’m better off without her, but I can’t resist her either. I crave Celeste Harrison with every breath, every heartbeat. It’s no longer a matter of choice — she’s in my fucking veins, infecting my heart."

Zane & Celeste's story was every bit of angsty as I was expecting it to be. Zane was surprisingly so sweet in the first few chapters. I expected him to be be grumpy and angry but his immense love for Celeste always made him go soft no matter how much pain she had caused him. Normally, it's an mmc that does something to fuck up and has to grovel but in this case, Celeste was at fault and I liked how her groveling was handled. She was absolutely sincere and wanted to mend the wrongs which is why I couldn't feel angry at her. The guilt she constantly felt when interacting with the Windsors was tangible and I also liked how eventually she won all of them over again! Both Zane & Celeste's characters had depth and their connection was so deep right from the start. I loved how they stayed strong and helped each other heal and grow towards the end. The epilogue was very heartwarming. It was so lovely to see how far every Windsor couple had come and they deserved every bit of their happiness! Overall, the book was totally worth the time I spent on it and all the side characters were amazing! I just can't wait to read Lexington's story next!
