I love Nora Ephron movies, and this felt like I was living inside the head of one of her characters. Rachel is funny and sharp. I could actually hear her voice in my head it was so strong. The end was more tender and sad than I expected it to be. It was a nice contrast from the rest of the fast-paced anecdotes in the book. I liked the framing device of her speaking right to her audience through one of her cookbooks.
