Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Well, this was... odd.

The story was good but the buildup was way longer than it needed to be. Once it took off and we were offered an explanation for the weird things that were happening, it seemed kind of rushed. I wish I had gotten a more detailed explanation of why it was happening rather than WHAT was happening.

If you liked Archive 81 on Netflix you'll probably like this too.

Also, I would like to start a petition for a book on Noemí and her life in Mexico City before the events of this book. I was very into the bougainvilleas and Pedro Infante vibes.
