Romancing the Nerd by Leah Rae Miller
3.0
Romancing the Nerd is a quick delightful read with alternating points of view between Dan and Zelda which helps to keep it interesting. This one wasn't mind blowing or super unique but it was fun and light which I was totally in the mood for. Sometimes you just want a break from all the major angst and sadness you know? Anyhow it does have just the right amount of tension ( mostly in the form of Zelda shooting eye daggers at Dan ) to have some fun are they going to fight or kiss moments ( which I love ). I do have to admit that at the beginning I wasn't feeling Zelda so much. I felt like she was being rather petty and that she kept making a mountain out of a mole hill. Dan could literally do nothing right in her eyes. Everything he did she would twist and turn into something ugly. The fact that she owns up to this later though totally won me over. The fact that she was mostly doing this because she was hurt and trying to hide her lingering feelings for Dan from herself did make me cut her some slack. I mean who hasn't misjudged someone's intentions before because we were trying to protect our hearts? All in all I think it is a cute romance ( light on the romance, heavy on the banter ) that is perfect for a quick light read.
