What Does Consent Really Mean?
by Thalia Wallis, Joseph Wilkins, Pete Wallis
I think I like this book more from the stance of a youth care worker than as someone being educated about consent or like for youth. Like I’m not sure the language will be so engaging for youth. But I think it presents some situations and conversations that are so so important, it is does so with a good amount of honesty and brevity. Youth care workers or educators can definitely take some of the messages that are effectively distilled from complex situations and communicate them to young people we work with. I feel like this is written by adults for youth, and i think youth reading this might feel it is a bit more instructional than relatable. Also, tho, I think it is a better health and relationship resource than most public school stuff I encountered growing up. So glad it exists, and am hopeful for more similar projects to continue
