Six Scorched Roses by Carissa Broadbent

4.0

Six scorched roses is a novella that takes place in the same timely as the serpent and the wings of night. This story follows Lilith who is a fragile human girl. Her town was cursed by a god and the townspeople are dying from a sickness.

In order to help her sister she makes a deal with a vampire to use his blood for an antidote that would save life’s. The only issue is that she has to keep it a secret otherwise people will come for her head. Alongside working with the vampire she learns new things about herself, her family and the grumpy vampire.

After finishing book one I didn’t want to read this novella, but I’m glad that I did because I have a strong feeling that these characters will play a huge role in the following book.
