The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson

1.0

It could’ve been so much better, there was potential unexplored.
Now that I think about it, I liked the dynamic Komizar had with the rest of the characters in Book 2. I feel like he brought out the worst in everyone and that made the series so much more dramatic. And that’s exactly what was lacking in this book. He barely shows up. And whatever ‘screentime’ he gets at the end was so underwhelming! All that built up felt like for nothing. His demise was not properly fleshed out. And honestly, not much happens throughout the book either. I was bored out of my mind, and then cringing at bits here and there.
This could’ve been better. But *sigh*
