Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul by Jack Canfield, Kimberly Kirberger, Mark Victor Hansen

5.0

This is an amazing book. It is a tiny bit outdated, being published over 2 decades ago, but it’s not too noticeable. My dad got it for me a year or so ago, and I just picked it up again and gave it another shot.

As a teenager myself, this book was very emotional for me. There is such a large diversity in stories, from people making world records to people dealing with eating disorders. There are a lot of stories regarding death and suicide, which are very tough subjects, and made me cry, so if you don’t want to read that, just know that there is that type of stuff in there. However, this book also includes tons of good advice and inspirational stories, ranging from relationships and parents to what to do with your life and how to make a difference. I also personally enjoyed the occasional comic that rolled passed and the quotes in front of some of the stories.

In conclusion, this book is a must-have for any pimple-face, hormone-ridden adolescent. It gave me tons of great advice and lessons to carry with me into the future.
