The Secret Seven by Enid Blyton

3.0

It's my first time reading The Secret Seven in English. I read a lot of Le Clan des Sept when younger. It's such a long time it took me some time to remember who was who: Peter (Pierre), his sister Janet (Jeannette) and their dog Scamper (Moustique), Jack (Jacques), Barbara (Babette), George (Georges), Pam (Pam) and Colin (Colin). Once I recalled who they were, all was well.

The plot was quite an interesting one, clearly meant for older children than those reading the Famous Five (Le Clubs des Cinq).

I enjoyed listening to it, though it took me a couple of chapters to get used to the narration by Esther Wane.

I have to say I do prefer the Famous Five.

Are you Team Famous Five or Team Secret Seven?
