As good as usual. This takes a great part of its plot from the true events near Durango in the summer of '98 when a Cortez cop was shot while making a routine traffic stop.
This story supposedly takes place after that, and is based on it. The Ute Mountain Casino is held up, one guard is killed & another wounded by the thieves. Chee & Leaphorn come in at different edges of the investigation, but end up working together to figure it out.
