Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne

Try as you might, some classics just suck—this is not one of those classics. Imbued with the timeless spirit of adventure, this book is a charming romp around the world. At times, it even reads like a buddy film featuring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. However, like many classics, its age is incredibly evident, so take it at face value and let its age inform your experience.

TL;DR: An enduring adventure, a clear classic, and a wonderful introduction to Jules Verne’s work.
