how the fuck . how . nobody else in the world can write like this. i will be building you a temple, james baldwin, and i will go there to cry. i am ruined for all other writers for the rest of my life (i believe this to be true) and i miss everyone in this novel already, i'll be yapping about it for ever and ever and will be rereading this a million times. huge sigh. more intellectual opinions may follow.
