subplotkudzu 's review for:
Crosstalk
by Connie Willis
Any new Connie Willis will be either fun or heart-wrenching or both as the woman really is a master of emotional connection. This farce starts off in one place and then has a series of well timed revelations that keep pushing the plot in unexpected directions. The ending was a bit to deus ex machina for my tastes, rushing through some bits and shifting responsibility for resolution away from the main characters, but all told it held up well.
It's Connie Willis. If you like her other work, you'll like this. If you've never read her other work, give this a whirl.
