Enjoyed this, though by far not my favorite by the author.  The premise was so inviting, though I was hoping for a little more since it's not a new idea.   The absolute best parts of the book were the godmothers, and I would immediately order any book with their origin story.  They were the reason i finished the book.  The rest of the characters were rather underdeveloped.  The atmospheric tone set was really good too. 

And everyone was puking all the time.  Which got old fast.
