chrissyz 's review for:
Parents Weekend
by Alex Finlay
fast-paced
Loveable characters:
No
After having read another book by Alex Finlay and enjoying it, I was excited to read his new release. This one was not my favorite. There were alot of characters to keep track of and none to root for. If you want a book about everyone behaving badly then you will like this one with lots of drinking, drugs, infidelity, coarse language, anxiety, etc. It is a quick popcorn like mystery/ thriller so if you are looking for that and don't need a hopeful, happy story, you may enjoy this one! The audiobook narrator has a pleasant voice and does a good job changing voices for all the different characters but there are so many, it is difficult to keep track without reading along with the print version.
