Very dark events happen in this book. Although Alex did many horrible things in his youth, the rehabilitation he goes through affected many parts of himself. Not just from the urges of violence and impulsive actions but even affecting his love for music. The MC is definitely not a character that I loved or favored since he was very selfish and self centered. But in the end his urge to grow up and move on from his usual ways was a very enlightening way to end the story.
