so often hades and peresphone retellings get butchered and i’m so glad Fruit of the Dead didn’t follow suit. the prose was stunning and the characters were entrancing. this book is perfect for summer and soupy humid days. the only reason why this isn’t a 5 star is because i literally had to convince myself to continue reading in the first half.
