Max never foresaw being arrested on his 18th birthday. He never thought when he agreed to cover for a friend's trip to Vegas, the friend would not return. He never even considered that maybe people close to him were keeping secrets.
Great mystery, great story. One complaint is that at time the action could be a little plodding, but overall this was a wonderful read that had me anxious and excited, especially towards the end.
