No Way Out by Santana Knox
4.0
If you are a fan of the spooky horror romance genre and don't have any triggers, this is the perfect quick read for you! Lots of dark and spooky turns to keep you on your toes, while being perfectly brief and simple to devour! Dark romance and horror rarely manage to make me gasp out loud. I'm not easily surprised, and it literally never happens. But one particular scene in this novel managed to pull it off. My jaw dropped to the floor in shock. I won't give anything away, but I will say that I found what she was doing at that time a little disturbing. Just no, I'm sorry. Even with that in mind, I thoroughly loved this book. As always, look through the trigger warnings. This book. This is definitely a unique book.
"She was henbane, beautiful but foul in every sense of the word; the closer you got, the more evident it became as its stench invaded your senses. She was wretched, toxic in the worst way possible, but stunningly beautiful from a distance."
