Feminism Is for Everybody: Passionate Politics by bell hooks

5.0

I would rate it 4.5, but I rounded up.

This is a thorough piece of the history of the feminist movement, it delves into the issues that were originally championed by the movement, and the differences and the effects between conservative and radical feminists.

This book is written in a very textbook style, but it is concise so I never felt like it was dragging, just very formal. I do wish there would have been a bit more examples of the current state of things and then what the ideal result would be.

I would highly recommend anybody to read it regardless of wheather they believe themselves to be a feminist or not, it will at least give clarity to the issues and the importance of those issues on a broader and global scale.
