Broken Beautiful Hearts by Kami Garcia

Well. It’s done. It wasn’t necessarily super amazing, but I read it and so it’s done.

The issue for me is lack of connection. There’s no emotion behind the writing, nothing that really speaks to me as a reader to keep me coming back for more.

This book was about an exceptionally difficult topic, one the author has personal experience with making this a hard book to read. I loved the main character, Peyton. Though she can be a bit naïve, I believed her. She seemed real. Some things were very cliché (the rude cheerleader, etc) but for this high school drama, it worked.
