The book does what it's intended to; it's a romp, funny and easy, a cute two-perspective rom-com with endearing characters.
That said, the later half of the book (last few chapters) fell short for me character-wise, with really rushed plot points and too-quickly forgiven mistakes that in a realistic situation would end a healthy relationship. It took away from the light-hearted feel good nature of the book, so it left a sour taste to a really otherwise amazing story.
