The Haunting by Natasha Preston
2.0
I really don't want to be mean... but man, that was brutal. Honestly, I would have DNF'd it if it wasn't such a quick read, and I wanted to know if I was right about the murders. Real rating would be closer to 1.5 stars if I'm being honest.
I'm so sorry... I get that with this being written from a high schoolers pov, there would be some immature moments and maybe not the most rational thoughts. But honestly, the entire thing felt like it was written by a high schooler.
The main character, Penny, is unbearable, and we would not be friends IRL. Her "friends" are just as bad, and I think the only reasonable people in this book are probably Penny's parents.
I'm not even going to say anything about the last page except for giving a virtual eye roll.
