Great read! It's fiction but strongly based on a real person and primary sources. I appreciate the attention detail that the author gave to her historical research when writing the book. The book drew me in and I became really attached to Martha and her story. There are a few parts of the story that I wish had been wrapped up more like Cyrus and Sarah's story lines. I would have loved an epilogue with the Ballard family.
