I enjoyed this book more than the first one in the series, and I think it’s because I liked Alina more. She has definitely grown as a character and she’s no longer insecure in her power. However, all of the conflict with Mal would have been resolved if they had just communicated, which makes me dislike their relationship some as it seems juvenile. The plot wasn’t very driven but I still enjoyed it? And of course I loved Nikolai, more than Mal at times. I’m so excited to start the last book in this series
