Batman Vol. 1: Failsafe by Chip Zdarsky
3.0

I mean, it never occurred to Batman, World's Greatest Detective, that he might be framed for murder at some point?

It kind of fits with more recent Batman, which has a mix of silliness and seriousness, and I don't mind that, it feels like, um, life, which is silly but sometimes serious, or sometimes the silliness turns into seriousness without you knowing.

I kind of related to Penguin in this one...it'd be tough to be Oswald Cobblepot in OUR world, let alone a comic book world where everyone is a supergenius billionaire with incredibly straight teeth. After I saw my 15th god with abs shredded like a bag of mozzarella come gliding down from the sky, I'd be more than a little bitter.

At least the billionaires in our world have the decency to be pretty average-looking.
