Okay, wow. This book took me on a full-body emotional rollercoaster—equal parts slow-burn romance and deep, healing journey—and I could not look away.
Bella Lawson might seem like the “good girl” type, but her story goes way deeper. She’s stuck in a toxic relationship, just trying to survive, and the way she starts finding her voice and taking her life back? Absolutely powerful. Interior design might be her thing, but watching her redesign herself is where the real glow-up happens.
Then there’s Xander Walker—tattooed quarterback with a tragic past, major book boyfriend energy, and the emotional depth of a man who truly sees her. Their chemistry is wild, but the slow build of trust between them? That’s what got me. He's flirty, sure—but also kind, patient, and so respectful of Bella’s journey.
“You’re my perfect match, Bella.” / “Matches burn, Xander.”
I am not okay. That line lives rent-free in my soul.

The writing is addictive, the steam is spicy in all the best ways, and the emotional twists? Let's just say I had a few “throw-the-Kindle” moments.
There’s not a ton of football, but the feels are off the charts. I’m obsessed and already desperate for the next one.
Big thanks to Anastasija White and Grey’s Promotions for the ARC—all thoughts and opinions expressed are completely my own. 🩷💚🩷💚
