4.5

The story of a toxic relationship in a toxic political system. There are some unpolished details and clichés in the characters as well as in the writing (and in the plot, omg, I found the "plot twist" at the end rather boring and foreseeable) but I still genuinly enjoyed reading this book. The writing is all in all well executed (read in German). The small, everyday details about the failing Soviet state and the aftermath of the fall of the Berlin Wall were especially interesting for me - maybe since I live in Berlin.
