From the first meeting between the main character and the central love interest I was like… “ok this guy sucks?” But also, it’s not that weird to date people that suck when you are 22. So sure, it’s believable enough. Through all the magical realism, my big takeaway from this book is that I think it’s a metaphor for what it’s like to love someone with PTSD from their military service.
