Things Good Girls Don't Do by Codi Gary

It was a cute story. It would've been a quicker read if I hadn't been so busy recently, but it's no big deal.

There are some qualities of instalove, but when reading a romance, what else can you expect? I read it hoping for a cute little romance, and that's what I got. I really like the idea of the main character, Katie, making a list of things she'd never do, and it's kind of inspiring me to do something similar, as cheesy as that is. It's even cuter that Chase, the male lead, is helping her cross off everything on her list.

My only real issues with it are that some of their behavior is kind of immature, like Katie trying to make him jealous, and Chase leaving without saying a word to her, and it being kind of predictable, but as I said before, it's a romance. I'm not going to grab a romance novel and expect stark originality.

Other than that, it was fine. It was cute and it did what I wanted it to do. I could actually see myself re-reading this at some point. Not to mention, the epilogue was cute.

Edit: I stuck a sticky tab on the pages where there was explicit sexual content, and at the end of the book, there were only 4 tabs, and the sex in it isn't written horribly. I've read a lot of fanfiction and quite a few explicit romance novels in my time, and I thought that the sex was tastefully written in this book. In case anyone's wondering about that, or worried about it being hypersexualized.
