Somewhat predictable, yet compelling to keep you reading. It seemed at times like the plot was quite forced. The characters were convincing but there was not enough genuine connection. I was just unable to connect and get emotionally involved in the book with the characters. I love Tess Gerritsen's writing and I believe she is a great writer, but no one can hit a home run every time.
